Marwood has been generating and providing renewable solar electricity back to the Ontario Hydro Electric grid since 2010 with panels on the plant roof.
Throughout our 20 year history Marwood has been actively environmentally conscious. As an ISO 14001 company, Marwood makes every effort to protect and enhance the environment.
For example, Marwood uses the latest technology in T8 lighting, synchronous motors and capacitor banks to reduce our overall electricity demand. All process water is closed loop and every aspect of our operation is reviewed monthly by senior management to ensure we capitalize on the latest conservation technology.
Since August of 2010, Marwood has been generating and providing renewable solar electricity back to the Ontario Hydro Electric grid. We currently have a 30 kW solar system and plan to expand it by the summer of 2011 with an additional 75 kW system.
