At Marwood we have automated key systems which enable us to be not only flexible but produce multiple parts on the same machine with very little programming, quick changeovers and enhanced quality.
Our programmers at Marwood have created a proprietary sensing program, designed to improve efficiency. The sensor program enables presses to instantly stop if an error is detected in the process, thereby maintaining the integrity of our dies and saving considerable hours. The press controls also have sensing capabilities built in (tonnage monitors, shut height control) which can be fed back to the team to ensure proper die set up. Our engineering and tool rooms collaborate closely to test and evaluate our sensors, resulting in world-class efficiency levels.
We also have leading-edge vision systems which enable us to be flexible and responsive to our customers. Vision systems are an emerging technology which reduce the cost of capital equipment; savings we pass on to our customers.
Marwood has two types of vision systems: one for quality and one part presence. Our quality vision systems are intended to check parts and detect and flag any significant deviations. Our part presence sensors ensure 100% completion of all products we make for our customers.
